I believe humans have creativity built into their spirit.
We were made in God, the creator's image.
He breathed life into us.
We have the Father's creative spirit fused into our very being.
This creativity is arguably what makes us different from other creatures on Earth.
All the beautiful and wonderous animals and other parts of nature that share God's incredible creation with us have limited amounts of creativity.
They can create things, like a spider's web or a bird's nest, but they are limited to the instincts that God created them with. I know there are points to argue here, but in general, none other in God's perfect creation has the power of creativity to the extent that humans have.
What will we do with this creativity? Will we use it for Good or for other purposes?
One of my daughters has what I call tons of 'creative energy'.
By this I mean she takes everything apart and draws on every available surface with crayons (or Sharpies 😩).
In fact, just last week she gave herself a haircut.... AGAIN! This is the 3rd time she has been naughty with the scissors!
Others might call this destructive behavior, but I choose to call it creative energy.
I know that we CAN and WILL HAVE to find ways to harness this creative energy for the power of good... or else.
I think the same can be said for all humans.
FANTASTIC FACT: I live in an area of Hawaii called the Hāmākua Coast.
Hāmākua literally means "Breath of the Father" in Hawaiian. So inspiring!
Lately I have been having a burst of creative energy!
I think this creative outlet has been something missing in my life, that I didn't even know was missing!
I chalk it up to increases in healthy habits - praying every morning, studying scripture every day, walking several times a week, intermittent fasting, cutting out processed carbs, and even having my metal dental fillings replaced. (More about these things in later posts - so please subscribe if these topics interest you.)
I started a blog, wrote a couple of children's activity books, can't stop making reels on Instagram, and more!
Including these FREE downloads for Resurrection Sunday.
I hope you are blessed by them. I was blessed by just making them and would be even more blessed if you would enjoy them 🥰
Click on each one to open full size (8.5x11) and then save or print. These can also be accessed on the Downloads section of hanaihome.com and I hope to add more throughout the year.
